TRUMP ATTEMPTING ELECTION FRAUD

A briefing from THE BRENNAN CENTER on how Trump is doing it, and to join the fight back.
For months, we have warned of a drive by President Trump and his administration to undermine the 2026 election. It is unprecedented, outlandish. Now Trump himself is blaring his intent — and over the past week, the public issue has exploded. The fight for a free and fair vote is taking shape, starting on the floor of the House this week as it once again considers the SAVE Act.

Make no mistake: The SAVE Act would stop millions of American citizens from voting. It would be the most restrictive voting bill ever passed by Congress. It is Trump’s power grab in legislative garb.

Today, the House Rules Committee is voting to send the measure to the full House for a vote. Effectively, the bill would require Americans to produce a passport or a birth certificate to register and thus to vote. Brennan Center research shows that 21 million people lack ready access to these documents. Half of all Americans don’t have a passport, for example. And millions of married women who have changed their names might need to jump through extra hoops to vote.

The measure likely will pass the House, as it did in an earlier form last year. Once again, it will be up to senators to block it. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) declared it “dead on arrival.” But this time around, a mobilized outside drive is pushing lawmakers to restrict voting. “It must be done or democracy is dead,” instructed Elon Musk. The SAVE Act will not expire quietly, surrounded by loved ones. It’s on all of us to stand up and speak out, once again.

And now we see how it fits into the broader strategy.

In recent days, Trump has repeatedly demanded that Republicans “nationalize” the elections on behalf of his political party. Each time his aides try to clean up his remarks, he doubles down. “A state is an agent for the federal government in elections,” he wrongly insisted.

Constitutionally, that’s upside-down land. The Constitution is unambiguous: States run elections. Presidents have no role.

Congress, appropriately, can enact national legislation. It should use that power to pass national standards to protect the freedom to vote, not restrict it.

Then there’s the appalling abuse of federal law enforcement. We still do not know why Kash Patel’s FBI raided election offices in Fulton County, Georgia, nearly two weeks ago. A judge has ordered that the underlying legal papers, secret until now, be released. ProPublica reports the raid may be linked to agitation by a “conservative researcher” who has peddled discredited conspiracy theories.

Intelligence chief/gadfly Tulsi Gabbard showed up at the Atlanta raid. FOMO? Amid Justice Department ducking and a denial by Trump, Gabbard wrote to Congress that in fact the president ordered her to go even though her office plays no part in elections. Now it turns out that Gabbard last year obtained voting machines in Puerto Rico. And Trump’s allies in 2020 claimed that Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, long dead, had masterminded a plot.

This is comic opera stuff. But it’s deadly serious, too — certainly for the public servants in Fulton County. It all aims to send a message to intimidate election officials around the country. If you preside over an election and we don’t like the result, we may come after you.

Steve Bannon, the Trump strategist who served prison time for defying a congressional subpoena, declared on Tuesday, “We’re going to have ICE surround the polls come November. We’re not going to sit here and allow you to steal the country again.” When we see how politicized and aggressive immigration forces have become, that threat becomes more than a podcaster’s bombast.

Here, the law is clear: That would be a federal crime. My colleague Sean Morales-Doyle explains: “Can the president send troops or ICE agents to polling places? No — both federal and state laws explicitly prohibit the federal government from carrying out these implied threats.” It’s a federal crime to intimidate voters, too.

In coming months, if we see abuses of power like this, what can we all do to ensure that voters have their voice?

So far, we and others have staved off Trump’s worst impulses. After Trump signed an executive order last year purporting to unilaterally rewrite election rules, we sued the administration, and we won. And as the Trump administration continues to sue states for sensitive voter information, courts in California, Michigan, and Oregon have reaffirmed states’ right to refuse.

State and local governments, too, must be ready to act to protect the polls.

And voters will need to know that, despite all the noise and drama, we can make sure the 2026 elections are free, fair, secure, and, yes, uneventful. It may require voting early or by mail, for example.

In an election year, voting rights advocates often ponder whether pointing to threats risks demobilizing citizens. At some point, warning about voter suppression can accidentally dampen participation.

Not this year, it seems. Each time Trump declares that his goal is to “nationalize” the election — not for the greater good, but for his own political interests — the stakes become clearer. When he wrongly insists American elections are “rigged,” as he did over the weekend, it’s more than bluster. He’s saying the quiet part out loud.

In 2026, the right to vote will demand a fight to vote.

A FAST RISING, BRUTAL DICTATORSHIP

Not only has Trump ignored the US economy as it pertains to the working class, even as his actions are sending the stock market—mostly owned by multi-millionaires/billionaires—to record-breaking highs, among his worst atrocities is purposely and indifferently traumatizing small children for life.

Reading The Guardian recently, I came across an opinion piece by Moira Donegan, Republicans are the party of separating and destroying families. Never forget that.

Her first two paragraphs—next two paragraphs—are especially disturbing when we remember that Trump is just getting started, having spent most of his first year of his second term transforming America into a budding police state and an authoritarian oligarchy. And he is building, at taxpayer expense, a personal army of masked, unidentifiable, and unaccountable thugs (not unlike the Nazi Gestapo in the early to mid 20th century) that is virtually immune to brutally beating immigrants as well as US citizens—even immune to murder. He has, in his own words and actions, made it clear that cruelty, even to small children, is the point.

“Of the 3,800 children and infants taken into immigration custody between January and October of 2025, a majority – 2,600 – were detained by ICE officers. That means that the children, as young as one or two years old, were not arrested at the border or legal ports of entry, where asylum seekers frequently present themselves to border officers, but inside the country.

“That means that those children were not new arrivals seeking help; they were kids going about their daily lives in the US, often with legal status. They were children like Liam Conejo Ramos, aged five, who was snatched from his driveway after school by immigration agents while wearing a blue bunny hat to keep him warm in the Minnesota cold. They are children like one student, a 17-year-old from Liam’s school district in Minnesota, who was taken from their car, or the other child, a 10-year-old girl in the fourth grade, who was taken alongside her mother; or the two other boys, brothers in the second and fifth grades, who were delivered by school officials to an ICE detention center after their mother was arrested and taken there. She had called the school to ask them to bring her boys to her in the prison; there was no one else to take care of them.”

Every citizen, republican, independent or democrat, who has the capacity to be angry with Trump’s brutality and building an uncountable army to occupy US cities, kill immigrants and citizens, and traumatize small children for life, and who, no doubt, plans to use that army to hijack the mid-term elections, must stand up, protest every way you can, and vote blue!

Something important is happening in Washington right now — and most people only see it in fragments. Banks are increasing lobbying spending. Tech companies are flooding Washington with influence campaigns. Defense contractors and financial firms are expanding their political operations. Lobbying firms themselves are reporting record profits as corporations race to shape policy before it is written. This isn’t speculation. It’s happening in plain sight.Federal lobbying spending surpassed $5 billion in 2025 — the highest level ever recorded, with the largest year-over-year increase on record. Large U.S. banks boosted lobbying expenditures by about 12%, their biggest jump in more than a decade, as they fight to influence regulatory changes. Crypto firms increased lobbying spending by roughly 66% as they pushed for industry-friendly legislation. Tech and AI companies spent more than $100 million lobbying Washington as policymakers debated regulation. When political power concentrates, corporate money follows — shaping laws, influencing enforcement, and deciding whose speech is protected and whose becomes a problem. None of this is illegal. And that is exactly the problem. What we are witnessing is a system where economic power is legally transformed into political power. For decades, Supreme Court decisions have expanded constitutional protections for corporations and declared money to be a form of political speech. That legal framework turned political spending into protected activity and allowed economic entities—created for profit—to exercise political power on a scale no human being can match. The result is predictable. When regulatory decisions are made, corporations are already in the room. When laws are written, industries have already shaped the language. When enforcement priorities shift, the most powerful economic actors have already made their case. The problem isn’t one company, one party, or one administration. The problem is structural. As long as corporations retain constitutional rights — and as long as money is treated as speech — concentrated wealth will continue to dominate democratic decision-making. That is why scandals come and go while public anger remains. The underlying system never changes. Real accountability requires more than ethics reforms or new regulations. It requires changing the constitutional rules that allow corporate power to overwhelm democracy in the first place. The We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54) would end corporate constitutional rights and make clear that money is not speech. It would place constitutional rights where they belong—with human beings—and begin the work of building a democracy where political power is not determined by wealth. But constitutional change has never come from politicians alone. It has always come from people organizing together and demanding something better. If you’re frustrated by a system where corporate money speaks louder than people, we need you in this movement. We’re inviting you to join our Volunteer Onboarding Call on February 19—a space to connect, learn where you fit, and take real action alongside others who believe democracy should belong to people, not corporations. You don’t need special experience. You just need to care about the future we’re building together.

Register below for the 2:00 PM PT/ 3:00 PM MT/ 4:00 PM CT/ 5:00 PM ET call. You’ll receive a link once registered. The stakes are too high to sit this one out.
The movement grows when people show up. The surge in lobbying we are witnessing today is not an accident. It is a reminder of who currently writes the rules. The question is whether we are willing to change them. KING TRUMP

LET THEM EAT CAKE!

PREDICTIONS

Years ago, I used to wonder just how the good people of Germany in the 1930s allowed Hitler to take power, an allowance that directly resulted in the deaths of ~17 million people—military and civilian men, women and children. This included six million innocent Jews for having committed the crime of being born into the Hebrew culture.

Of course, Hitler also had a strong influence on the other two Axis nations, Japan and Italy, both autocratic governments. The WW2 death toll in all was between 70 million and 85 million people, including tens of millions of military and civilian casualties on all sides. Note that Trump tends to side with dictators of other countries and against NATO and the European Union. Hmm, seems to be a pattern here.

______________________________________________________________________________

Addemdems:

Prediction No. 2, Trump will not willingly leave the White House in 2029.

Trump is going to use the massive, peaceful protest on OCTOBER 18 (which I intend to join) as an excuse to declare a national emergency, invoke the Insurrection Act, and attempt to suspend, or more likely, forcefully control the mid-term elections by intimidating voters with a show of military might and possibly seize the voting machines in predominantly Democratic districts.

If the judiciary orders him to stop his autocratic power grab, he will ignore them. At that point, we can count only on commanding officers of the military to refuse to assist him by citing their pledge to the Constitution.

I expect, then, that some trumped-up (pun intended), goosestepping, heel clicking loyalist commanders whom Trump has installed will heed his call to trample, or even shoot the protesters, which he once suggested in his first term (per Mark Esper, Trump’s Secretary of Defense in his first term, during an interview with Norah O’Donnell).

We can only hope at that point that commanders of honor, true patriots, will intervene, depose Trump and (my wet dream) install Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, or AOC as president (any combination of the three) and one other of the three as vice president.

This addendum will unfold, but likely in various ways. However, the core prediction—his declaration of the Insurrection Act and national emergency—will still come to pass. I’m curious to see if his SCOTUS will attempt to stop him.

PREDICTIONS:

1. I read a piece about Artificial Intelligence in “The Guardian” the other day ‘My son genuinely believed it was real’: Parents are letting little kids play with AI. Are they wrong?. It occurred to me that Trump and his loyalist appointees will team with AI billionaires to use, and likely already are using Artificial Intelligence to groom very young children and teens to love the macho manosphere—Friedrich Nietzsche’s and the evangelical dream of muscular supermen who are “meant” to rule over and use women, dominate the weak, have no empathy for those less mentally or physically or financially fortunate, (especially if they are not of anglo decent) and have no regard for whom they hurt, even the children left traumatized. Diversity, empathy, and inclusion are to be eradicated from society, and praise for “ze Leadah” is to be all we hear.

We see this growing daily now as Trump builds his MAGA army of unidentified masked thugs and urges the armed forces to use American cities to hone their battle skills by terrorizing migrants and citizens alike.

As I’ve said many times before, while most people continue to say, “it can’t happen here,” it damn well indeed is happening here, and the more we ignore it, the worse it will get. Yes, it is happening to other people right now, but it’s just getting started. The appetites of brutal, narcissistic, picture-posting leaders can never be satisfied.

So, how much are we going to give him? Our free speech is already under full assault. The free press is now caving to his demands. He ignores the Constitution with impunity because he has completely politicised the Justice Department and the Supreme Court. He has now been given approval by the SCOTUS for his army of masked thugs to terrorize the populations of a growing number of cities. He controls all three branches of government thanks to his sycophantic Republican party denying approval of constitutionally loyal democratic appointees and appointing only justices loyal only to him. The SCOTUS has effectively become an arm of the White House.

2. Trump will not willingly leave the White House in 2029. The second insurrection is already ongoing. The only caveat will be if Trump decides to pass his bloody sword over to Donald Trump Jr. The next presidential election, if it happens, will not matter even if the Democrats win the House and Senate in 2026. Trump will use his masked, MAGA Gestapo, and the military, soon to be staffed with loyalist leaders, to keep his family in power. There will be blood in 2028, or sooner.

3. There will never be a two-state solution to the Gaza-Israel debacle. The Likud Party of Netanyahu will occupy Gaza and the West Bank for a few years, then annex them and push most or all Palestinians out of their homes, confiscating their land just as they did within a few years after England and the USA appropriated Palestinian land to create the nation of Israel, sparking over three-quarters of a century of bitter hatred and bloodshed.

Dispatch From the Department of Irony

Concerning U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s pledge to “absolutely target” people who use “hate speech”:

From The Guardian – https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/sep/17/pam-bondi-hate-speech-charlie-kirk

Really, Pam? As I’ve pointed out, poorly educated government officials−mostly Republican congressional members, Trump-appointed Executive officials, and Right-wing Supreme Court Justices−don’t understand irony. I’ll add to that, hypocrisy. No one in our government spews more divisive hate speech and lies than our age-stunted, 5-year-old, petulant president, Donald Trump (still in diapers).

Are ya “absolutely targeting” him, Pam? We should expect better from the nation’s top Law enforcement officer.

THE POST TRUTH DISUNITED FASCIST STATES OF AMERICA IS CAVING TO TREASONOUS TRUMP

Thanks to most evangelical and fundamentalist Christian voters, the far-right propaganda “news” outlets (the main one being the White House), the oft-repeated phrase, “No one is above the law” [in the USA], is now a blatant lie! I’m sick of hearing it.

I’ve heard for years that, in a political argument, any comparison of an American president to Hitler is a loser. Yet for those who follow the political news in the US and check the facts, it should be clear enough that the verboden name “Hitler” is appropriate when referencing Donald Trump, the American Führer.

No, he has not established death camps for those he hates (e.g., liberals, immigrants and refugees of color, LGBT+ communities, the working poor, and anyone who advocates for social and economic justice [DEI] born of empathy for those less fortunate or those who oppose him in any way). His total lack of empathy, honor and truth, his increasing brutality and lawless cruelty continue to sink into the depthless abyss people usually assign to inhuman beasts. He has repeatedly and flagrantly breached the 4th Amendment (illegal search and seizure), the 5th and the 14th Amendments (due process), and Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 (oath of office) without consequence. He was convicted of 34 felony counts in a court of law, again with no punishment.

Too, since it is now clear that his sycophantic DOJ and the Republican Party prostrate themselves before him and the “justice” system lacks the means of enforcing its rulings and the ongoing replacement of commanding officers in the military with men pledging loyalty not to the Constitution, but to him, I do not rule out the possibility of death camps in our future.

FROM THE GUARDIAN, an article on our despicable lying president.

First, a personal note: I’ve been away for quite some time, revising my novel, The Empathy Imperative. I’m still working on it and expect to republish under a different title.

Subhead From THE GUARDIAN: “Republican senator Tom Cotton calls for vigilantism to break up Gaza protests.

“Outcry as Cotton says those inconvenienced by protesters blocking roads and airports should ‘take matters into own hands.’ . . . arguing that people in his state would inflict bodily violence on the protesters, whom he called ‘antisemitic’ and ‘pro-Hamas.'”

Looking back, Cotton not only refused to condemn the 1/6/21 insurrectionists—even though he was so fearful of them at the time that he had a staffer bring him a knife to defend himself as he cowered in a locked room with others—but he also objected to their prosecution and convictions (without having watched the evidence presented by the Select Committee on the insurrection or otherwise read it).

And notice Cotton’s abysmal ignorance and utter indifference to our most treasured right—free speech and the right to peacefully protest government actions and policies.

The pro-Palestinian protesters are not anti-Semitic for protesting Israel’s indiscriminate killing (by bombs and STARVATION) of over 30,000 Palestinians. Virtually everyone condemned the inhuman Hamas terror attack killing over a thousand Israelis and capturing hundreds more. The people to whom Cotton referred were protesting the ongoing virtual genocide OF PALESTINIANS, MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN. They are not protesting in favor of Hamas. As well, they rightfully protest against the USA for paying only lip service to “pressuring” Netanyahu to stop killing civilians while sending him the bombs to keep killing them. He has no intentions of stopping the genocide.

The Woman Who Should be President!

Who, among the Democratic presidential hopefuls, has the best policies?

This video interview was made in 2004. Elizabeth Warren has not wavered from this position—she is every corrupt corporation’s worst nightmare! She has the policies that will, if we give her a progressive Congress, reverse the neoconservative, trickle-down economics the economic system that, for the past four decades, has been (and still is) redistributing the collective wealth of the working class upward to the already wealthy while suppressing wages.

An insider explains how rural Christian white America has a dark and terrifying underbelly

06 FEB 2018 AT 02:20 ET

As the election of Donald Trump is being sorted out, a common theme keeps cropping up from all sides: “Democrats failed to understand white, working-class, fly-over America.”

Trump supporters are saying this. Progressive pundits are saying this. Talking heads across all forms of the media are saying this. Even some Democratic leaders are saying this. It doesn’t matter how many people say it, it is complete BS. It is an intellectual/linguistic sleight of hand meant to draw attention away from the real problem. The real problem isn’t East Coast elites who don’t understand or care about rural America. The real problem is that rural Americans don’t understand the causes of their own situations and fears and they have shown no interest in finding out. They don’t want to know why they feel the way they do or why they are struggling because they don’t want to admit it is in large part because of the choices they’ve made and the horrible things they’ve allowed themselves to believe.

An Open Letter to Rev. Franklin Graham from a “Small Church” Pastor

Although I am not a religious person and frequently engage in debates with fundamentalist Christians, I love this letter and it is why I like Christians who can see through the hypocritical, emotional rhetoric of self-serving preachers and have the courage to call them out publically.

Dear Frank

Can I call you Frank? This is just pastor to pastor. Feel free to call me Peter. Anyway, I have to say I was flattered when I learned that your Decision America Tour took a detour off the beaten path to call upon us “small community churches.” We are nothing if not small. We seat 30-40 on a good Sunday. And we are a century old fixture of our small community. Most often we are overlooked and overshadowed by mega-churches and politically influential religious voices like your own. We don’t hold a candle to an auditorium filled with the music of a one hundred voice choir led by professional musicians. We probably will never be recognized in any nationally syndicated media. After all, we don’t do anything really “newsworthy.” We just preach the good news of Jesus Christ; love one another the best we can (which sometimes isn’t…

American Theocracy Devalues, Controls Women

Intersex and proud: model Hanne Gaby Odiele on finally celebrating her body

This is an extremely rare but important article not only for understanding the disaster we often bring to the lives of our children, but also it shines a bright light on the sheer depth of society’s ignorance and fear of those we see to be “different.”

Think about it. Why is society so ignorant in matters of its genetic heritage and sexual nature. The root cause, I’m convinced, is hereditary religion. We are taught from tot-hood that everyone is born genetically the same–male and female, and never the twain shall meet. It ain’t so, Joe!    —Author

Intersex and proud:

When the Belgian model revealed she was intersex earlier this year, she gave voice to something she’d always been told to hide. Here, the face of Balenciaga talks about knowing she was different.

Like many models, Hanne Gaby Odiele has a lovely limber angularity. Sitting in a Manhattan restaurant booth she seems to open and close like an umbrella, expanding when she’s in full flow, folding up when she’s mulling something over. Folded up and closed off was how she felt for a long time. As a child, she knew something was different about her. Tucker Carlson’s Cognitive Dissonance

LOL! Tucker Carlson did his best with his constant interruptions designed to unhinge Bill Nye, but became unhinged himself as Nye remained quite calm and provided the answers to what he was asking. But then, Carlson denied Nye was answering the questions because Carlson couldn’t understand the very simple, factual answers.

We humans are still territorial creatures, a legacy of our evolutionary past. Today, we can see our territoriality in political borders, properties and land possessions, supported by law, the police and the military.

We have psychological territories as well (subjective belief that cannot be independently verified as true), such as religion, politics and, yes, even negatives such as global warming science denial.

Many of us cannot allow objective facts (e.g., independently verifiable, human caused, global warming) to encroach on our subjective territories. Tucker’s angry conflict arose when Nye’s objective facts came in contact with his subjective border, and Nye correctly identified it as Tucker’s “cognitive dissonance.”

That Carlson rushed to his border to fight against Nye’s objective facts demonstrates his belief that his territory was threatened, which is why he became angry.

What would the world be like had it been created by a truly benevolent god and our primary motivating force was empathy, not self interest? How, indeed, with the human condition as it is, could we achieve such a world either via a god or by humanism?

Seeking funds for Flint, Democrats block energy bill

Deceit

publicdomainpictures.net

When will America wake up? There appears to be no depth to which congressional conservatives will not sink in their utterly disgraceful attempts to undermine the president at the expense of the lives of thousands, even millions of citizens, including the lives of children. Their complete indifference to suffering is simply without precedent, at least in this nation. It appears, to them, the public is no more than a Machiavellian means to power.

I have to say that, even though I do not tend to favor conspiracy theories, knowing the sheer insensitivity, incivility, and inhumanity of leading conservatives, there isn’t much I wouldn’t put past them.

Thus, I have come to lean toward the theory that the Cheney-Bush Administration knew in advance of the 9/11 attack and let it happen (or even facilitated it) in order to fulfill their Project for the New American Century dream of “reconstructing” the Middle East for American control the oil fields.

Although the original site for this document has been taken  down (surprise, suprise), I found it.

The key line in this PDF document is the statement that their designs on the Middle East would take a long time to accomplish “absent some catastrophic catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor” (Italic mine).

Now, this:

How did Republicans become so insensitive, deceitful and belligerent? I researched the rise of the neoconservatives from my novel, The Empathy Imperative. I plan to post the relevant pages on The Benevolent Thou shortly.

Hostile Conservatives Successfully Launch Themselves into Orbit!

Indifference to suffering is humanity’s greatest moral failing.

The children and adults of Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown, Connecticut, whose lives ended that horror filled day

Because of the congressional conservative’s opposition to any regulation that might save lives—especially the lives of children—President Obama has announced the details of his executive order, executed in an effort to curb unfettered avenues to firearm purchases.

The main thrust of the executive order is to expand background checks partly by naming any person selling a firearm at a gun show a dealer and, therefore, must conduct background checks. The executive order also will include stricter control of Internet sales of firearms, which is now a robust industry in itself.

Republicans will say that he has overstepped his authority, but he has not. Recall that G.W. Bush and de facto President Cheney embraced the doctrine of a strong Unitary Executive as a means to block aspects of laws that they didn’t like, even though they were passed by Congress. To my knowledge, no conservative ever objected.

Bush’s use of the Executive Order was no different from the Iraq constitutional Theocracy, where only those laws approved by the head cleric may be allowed to manifest.

images

The March on Washington after Sandy Hook and the lobbying efforts of the parents of the dead children had no effect on conservatives. They blocked subsequent legislation.

President Obama’s executive order on gun control is different. He is acting in a virtual national emergency situation where Congress refuses to act. While conservatives continually chant the mantra that the first duty of the president is to protect Americans, it is clear that they don’t mean by reducing the number of Americans killed by domestic gun violence. After all, that would cut into corporate profit.

The President’s action will be condemned, as usual, as using Executive Orders to illegally grab power from Congress when, in fact, President Obama has executed fewer executive orders than any president since William McKinley, who was assassinated in 1901, having served 4.5 years.

According to The Gun Violence Archive, the total number of Americans killed by gun violence in 2015 was 13,338. There were 692 children, ages 0-11 and 2,688 teens, ages 12-17 killed or wounded.

By contrast, terrorism in the U.S. (domestic and foreign) since 9/11/01, has claimed the lives of 74 Americans.

Conservatives are indifferent to the 13,338 killed by domestic gun violence, but horrified by the 74 killed by domestic and foreign inspired terrorism.

Imagine the pain!

The reason there are so few terrorist attacks in the U.S. is because conservatives push for strong controls and liberals agree, to an extent. The reason death by firearm violence in the U.S. is so high, is because conservatives fight against even the mildest controls.

It is a serious moral crime to sit and do nothing about gun violence in the U.S. It is an even greater crime against our fellow citizens to fight against any attempt to reduce these numbers, which is the main purpose of the Murder Industrial Complex (firearm manufactures, the NRA—their de facto political bribery/threat arm—and the politicians they’ve bought to do their fighting or threatened to keep them silent.

PLEASE SEND THE PRESIDENT A “THANK YOU” FOR THIS ACTION.

And consider, as well, that the only candidate now running in the presidential primary who has vowed to fight hard against corporate money in politics (which drives the anti-firearm control madness) is Bernie Sanders.

Is the god of the Bible amoral? Do true-believers believe that whatever their god does, he does because it is the moral and right thing to do, or are his actions right and moral because they are his actions?
